San Bernardino County is now accepting applications for its 2026 Civil Grand Jury, with selected jurors serving from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 of that year.
Mandated by the California Penal Code, the Civil Grand Jury investigates the operations of county departments, cities, special districts, and certain criminal matters. All communications are confidential, and the panel is required to respond to every signed citizen complaint it investigates.
Grand jurors typically serve three to five days per week and receive $60 per day plus mileage. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old, have lived in the county for at least one year, and possess English proficiency, sound judgment, and good character. Elected officials are not eligible to serve.
Applications must be submitted by July 31, 2025. Interested individuals can apply online at sbcounty.gov/grandjury or contact the Grand Jury Coordinator at (909) 382-3971.
