The San Bernardino County Department of Aging and Adult Services–Public Guardian (DAAS-PG) provides several programs and resources to seniors and those with disabilities.

The San Bernardino County Department of Aging and Adult Services–Public Guardian (DAAS-PG) released its newly redesigned website in January 2026. Their improved website offers a simpler way to locate and understand vital program information, featuring streamlined navigation, a mobile-friendly design, and improved accessibility to ensure residents can stay informed at home or on the go.

The following programs and resources are available to Tri-Community residents 24/7:

Adult Protective Services (APS) – Helps protect older adults (aged 60+) and adults with disabilities (aged 18–59) who may be experiencing abuse, exploitation, or neglect.

  • Hotline: (877) 565-2020

Age Wise – Behavioral Health & Wellness – Provides mental health counseling, education, resources, and support for individuals aged 59 and older who may benefit from wellness services.

  • Hotline: (800) 451-5633

Office of the Public Guardian – Acts as the court-appointed conservator of last resort for individuals unable to provide for their own basic needs (food, clothing, or shelter). This office manages personal affairs and financial estates, including the sale of real and personal property owned by conserved individuals to provide for their care.

  • General Information: (909) 798-8500

Senior Affairs Commission (SAC) – Serves as an advisory body to the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors and the DAAS Director. The Commission makes recommendations on policy matters and services to meet the needs of older adults.

Emergency Preparedness Hub – The redesigned website now serves as a central hub for resource information during natural or weather-related events, including extreme heat, storms, wildfires, and power outages. Visitors can find safety tips and assistance information from federal, state, and local partners.

Additional county resources offered include:

  • In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS): Assistance for eligible aged, blind, or disabled individuals to remain safely in their own homes.
  • Nutrition Services: Information on congregate meal sites and home-delivered meals for seniors.
  • Senior Information and Assistance (SIA): For general referrals and information on local programs, call (800) 510-2020.
