San Bernardino County is now accepting applications for its Civil Grand Jury. Successful applicants will serve as grand jurors from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2027.
Tasked by the California Penal Code to investigate county operations, cities, special districts, and certain criminal matters, the Grand Jury ensures confidentiality in all communications and responds to every signed citizen complaint after investigation.
The San Bernardino County Superior Court is looking for interested county citizens who want to: Become Involved, Promote Sound Government, and Make Recommendations to Improve Services.
To be eligible for selection, a person must be at least 18 years of age, a United States citizen, and a resident of San Bernardino County for at least one year prior to appointment. Other requirements include sufficient knowledge of the English language, good health, good character, and sound judgment. By law, elected public officials are not eligible to be a grand juror.
