Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) serves the High Desert with fixed-route, commuter, and paratransit services to the Tri-Community. There are a number of Free-Fare Days offered on all services to help keep our skies blue. Coming up on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, 2026 is a Free Fare Day. Free Fare days are offered to the public several times throughout the year, including in June, July, September, and October of 2026.
Victor Valley Transit believes one of the best ways to help a student’s education is to be able to provide reliable transportation options for them. All K-12 students are able to ride Fare Free with VVTA and throughout San Bernardino County! Just show your Student ID to the Bus Operator and off you go! This program is available to all K-12 Students riding VVTA on any VVTA Regional Fixed and County Routes, 7 Days a Week!
Excelsior Charter School students in Phelan can ride to and from school for free. Check with the school administrator or call 760-563-3980. Victor Valley College students can also ride for free by showing a current, valid VVC ID card. The Fare Media Program is also available through VVTA and offers scholarships through local non-profit agencies to provide free or subsidized passes for low-income individuals, seniors, and people with disabilities.
