Wrightwood is preparing for the Christmas season with its Wrightwood Mountain Holiday Celebration 2024, presented by the Wrightwood Chamber of Commerce. The Village shops will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Nov. 30. The town comes alive on Friday and Saturday, with holiday spirit seen and heard throughout the Village, featuring colorful lights and decorations, music, hayrides, activities for children, holiday photo opportunities, and a North Pole mailbox for letters to Santa. The tree lighting will be on Friday evening at 6 p.m. at the top of Park Drive. It’s a perfect opportunity to start your holiday shopping.
The Great Elf Hunt will start on Friday. Join the fun by visiting participating Village businesses to pick up a form. While there, look for the elf letter hidden somewhere inside. Write the letter on your form to help solve the holiday phrase. When completed, return your form to one of the participating businesses to be entered in a drawing for great prizes donated by local merchants.
The festivities continue on Saturday at 10 a.m. with another day of fun activities culminating at 6 p.m. with the 23rd Annual Parade of Lights in the Village. Anything that moves can be in the parade—motorized vehicles, bicycles, wagons, buggies, horses, dogs, and more, all decorated with Christmas lights and decorations. The parade will travel through the heart of Wrightwood. For a complete schedule of events or to participate in the parade, applications are available online at wrightwoodchamber.org. There is no entry fee to participate in the parade, but you must submit an application. Entries will be judged in six categories.
