Lady Be Aware Classes offered by San Benardino County Sheriff Department will take a break after the June 13th class and will continue again in September 2026. The one-day, eight hour training is open to women aged 16 and older and designed to equip women with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to protect themselves from potential threats to their personal safety. The first half of the course is classroom-based to learn to recognize and avoid potential dangers in various environments. The second half involves hands-on training, including weaponless defensive tactics and an introduction to handling firearms.
Those under 18 can enroll with a guardian. The cost of the training is $75 per person. Due to its popularity, spots fill up quickly, so early registration is encouraged. To reserve your June place, email [email protected]. Classes will resume again in September 2026.
