The annual Wrightwood Classic Car Show took place Saturday, Aug. 16, in Wrightwood and featured hundreds of cars on display along Park Drive.
Perfect summer weather drew spectators from across Southern California to admire the vehicles and escape the desert heat in the mountain village.
This year marked the 31st annual show and included a diverse collection of automobiles, along with local entertainment and food.
A vendor village was set up in the Wrightwood Community Building parking lot and featured a range of sellers offering everything from apparel to collectible Hot Wheels toys. Local business, I Dyed, also participated, providing face painting and do-it-yourself tie-dye T-shirt activities for children. Local reptile rescue, Slithers & Crawls was also in attendance, captivating spectators with their exotic snakes, lizards and bugs.
Plenty of food options were offered in the vendor village, including tacos, burgers, smoothies and snow cones to help attendees cool off while browsing the cars.
Live music added to the atmosphere, with the Wild Side band performing classic rock songs on Evergreen Road next to The Yodeler. Local band B.O.B. also performed in the vendor village in front of Vivian Null Park, serenading shoppers who were browsing the merchant booths.
The Wrightwood Classic Car Show highlighted the town’s blend of small-town charm and big community spirit, offering visitors a chance to enjoy timeless automobiles, local entertainment and the mountain scenery, for a celebration that has become a hallmark of summer in Wrightwood.
