LifeStream Blood Bank’s mobile unit will make two stops in the Tri-Community during May 2025, offering local residents the chance to make a life-saving difference by donating blood. Community members are encouraged to participate, as the need for blood donations remains high in the region.
In Phelan, the unit will be available on Sunday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Saint Junipero Serra Church, located at 8820 Sheep Creek Road.
In Wrightwood, the unit will be available on Friday, May 23, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Wrightwood Community Building, located at 1275 State Highway 2.
LifeStream Blood Bank emphasizes that donating blood is a simple yet impactful way to help those in medical need. All volunteer blood donors must be at least 15 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Those under 17 are required to provide a signed parental consent form. LifeStream staff members will be on-site to guide donors through the process, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
Blood donations are vital for maintaining a stable blood supply, which is crucial for patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, or trauma care. Each donation has the potential to save multiple lives, making every contribution valuable.
