The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors and the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District are co-sponsoring a Tri-Community Household Hazardous Waste Collection event on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1450 Hwy 2 in Wrightwood, at the County Transportation/Flood Yard.
This collection is for household waste only; no business-generated waste will be accepted. The event is open to San Bernardino County residents, and a valid ID is required. Waste brought before 9 a.m. will not be accepted, and all waste must be accepted by County Fire Protection District personnel.
Please transport hazardous materials in containers no larger than five gallons, with labels and lids, and ensure the total weight does not exceed 125 pounds. Containers must be in good condition and not leaking. Used oil filters are 100% recyclable, but solid waste, business or commercial waste, radioactive waste, asbestos, explosives, tires, appliances, and furniture will not be accepted.
