In the early morning of Monday, February 10, 2025, deputies received a 911 call alerting them to suspicious activity involving individuals reportedly seen removing items from a property located near the intersection of Buttemere Road and La Mesa Road in Phelan.

Upon arrival, Deputy A. Elkabany immediately noticed a white Ford F450 flatbed truck parked at the scene. The truck was noticeably loaded with several metal fence posts. Deputy Elkabany made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, and during a thorough records check, it was revealed that the truck had been reported stolen from the city of Pomona. Furthermore, the metal fence posts were confirmed to have been taken from the residential property in the vicinity.

As a result of the investigation, 46-year-old Elizabeth Green of Phelan, 56-year-old Christopher Miller of Adelanto, and 43-year-old Teri Jones of Phelan were arrested without incident. They were subsequently booked at the High Desert Detention Center, facing multiple charges, including possession of stolen property, conspiracy to commit a crime, and grand theft. Teri Jones, identified as the driver of the stolen truck, was additionally charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.

The investigation into this theft is ongoing, and authorities are actively seeking additional information. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has further details is encouraged to reach out to Deputy A. Elkabany at the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station by calling 760-552-6800.
