The Phelan Posse Search and Rescue, which is part of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Volunteer Forces, is inviting community members to join their dedicated team. This volunteer group combines a love of horses with a passion for service, assisting in search and rescue missions, large animal evacuations, parades, and community or rodeo events with their horses, minis, and even a donkey.
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- No felony convictions
- No pending misdemeanor or felony court cases
- In compliance with the Department tattoo policy
- Eighteen+ years of age
- Legal resident of the United States
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid driver’s license
