Ho! Ho! Ho!: Santa pictured with all of his elves helping out during the Angel Tree pickup. Always a joyous event.

The Phelan Chamber brought holiday joy to the Tri-Community through its annual Angel Tree Giving Program on December 21st. This year 34 families received gifts and food to make their holiday season a little brighter. Santa Claus was on hand to deliver the presents, delighting children and spreading Christmas cheer. Santa deputized the Miss Phelan Court to act has his elves, assiting in the event.

Children recieved gifts from many “Angels” in the community who selected “Little Angels” and returned gifts to the Angel Trees. More of Santa’s elves gatherend the gifts all up so that Angel Tree Chairperson Kathy Hoffman could organize all of the presents for Santa to hand out. Each family also recieved ingredients to prepare a complete holiday meal. The Snowline Nutritional Services Department generously provided additional food items to round out the meal with enough left over to give families a little extra to last through the end of the year.

The Phelan Chamber of Commerce is thankful for its member volunteers and the generosity of the Tri-Community who contributed to the program. However, changes are on the horizon. The event’s current chairperson, Kathy Hoffman, has been instrumental in its organization and has announced she will be stepping down. The Chamber is now seeking a new individual to take on this vital role and continue the legacy of giving.

For those interested in chairing the Angel Tree Giving Program or contributing to its future success, the Phelan Chamber of Commerce welcomes your support. Together, the community can keep this cherished tradition alive.
