November 3, 2020, is the Presidential General Election, which is sure to take much of the limelight. However, there are several local offices up for election.
The Snowline Joint Unified School District has two Governing Board Member positions open, incumbent David Nilsen (Area 2) and Kenny Funk (Area 5) will not be running for re-election. Unofficially, Daniel Flores is running for Area 2, and Nathan Bristol and Tari O’Neill are running for Area 5.
The Phelan Pinon Hills Community Services District has two board positions open. Unofficially, both incumbents, Rebecca Kujawa and Mark Roberts are running for re-election with no other candidates filing thus far.
The Wrightwood Community Services District also has one board position open, a short-term office with Chuck Franklin, the incumbent running for re-election. Make a difference in the Tri-Community, register to vote at vote.gov, and remember to vote on November 3 or mail in your ballot as every registered voter will be receiving a mail-in ballot. Candidate filing ends August 7, 2020.
