Learn How To Garden and Get Free Mulch

Don Fish Jr Barn & Garden Gardening, Phelan Pinon Hills CSD

The Phelan Pinon Hills Community Services District can help you out with your summer planting. They are offering free mulch. Help save water by using mulch around your plants and trees. All that is required by you is to pick up a brief “Mulch Form” at the PPHCSD office- fill it out and return it to the PPHCSD office at 4176 Warbler Road, Phelan. Then, pick up mulch, using your own hand tools and containers, Monday thru Friday between 8 am-5 pm. The mulch is located adjacent to the District office. No machinery is allowed on District property.

If you have any gardening questions, visit Master Gardener Michelle Hannon at the Phelan Community Teaching Garden during Gardening 101 on the second Saturday of the month at 10:30am in the garden area of Phelan Community Park. All ages are welcome to attend Gardening 101 is free of charge. The topic for July 11th class is Pest and Critter Control. Michelle is very proud of the Community Garden and invites everyone to join her in Gardening 101 class.
