Students who attend schools in either Phelan or Pinon Hills are invited to participate in the Earth Day Art Contest presented by the Phelan Pinon Hills CSD. The contest is themed around saving the environment and artwork must be Earth Day themed reminding everyone to recycle and conserve water. Entires must be submitted on 8.5×11 paper only along with a completed entry form by May 30, 2026. Contest rules and how to enter, along with entry forms are available at the PPHCSD Office located at 4176 Warbler Road in Phelan or for full rules download the 2026 Art Contest flyer at pphcsd.org.
Judging will be done in three different age groups: Kindergarten through 2nd grade, 3rd grade to 5th grade, and 6th grade through 12th grade. The top three works of art in each grade group will be awarded prizes: 1st place receives $100.00, 2nd place is awarded $75.00, and 3rd place winners will receive $50.00. Winners will be notified by June 15th and invited to attend an award presentation at the PPHCSD Board meeting on June 24th, 2026, artwork will also be featured in the 2027 Phelan Pinon Hills District Calendars, on the PPHCSD website, as well as posted to social media. So kids, now is the time to start thinking about creating your piece of Earth Day art.
