Get ready for the 2024 Presidential Primary Election in San Bernardino County! With convenient and secure options for casting ballots, registered voters can avoid potential Election Day hassles and vote in multiple ways to ensure their votes count.

As the 2024 Presidential Primary Election approaches, San Bernardino County is preparing to offer voters convenient and secure options for casting their ballots. Registered voters in the Tri-Community area can expect to receive mail-in ballots soon. The Registrar of Voters encourages everyone to take advantage of early voting options to avoid potential Election Day hassles.

Registered voters should see mail ballots arriving as they have been mailed through the U.S. Postal Service. Voting early by mail allows voters to avoid potential Election Day crowds, traffic, or weather-related challenges. To ensure mail-in ballots are processed, the Registrar of Voters wants voters to remember to sign the outside of the return ballot mailing envelope.

There are several deadlines for mail ballots, which are as follows:

– Postmarked no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day (March 5, 2024)

– Dropped off at any polling place by 8 p.m. on Election Day

– Delivered to the Registrar of Voters by 8 p.m. on Election Day

– Deposited into a mail ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day

Voters needing a replacement ballot can contact the Registrar at (909) 387-8300 or visit their office at 777 East Rialto Avenue, San Bernardino.

Voters can vote in four secure ways, giving flexibility and accessibility to ensure votes count. The four methods to vote are:

Vote by mail: Return your voted mail ballot via the U.S. Postal Service.

Mail ballot drop-off locations: Choose from over 70 secure locations throughout the county.

Early vote sites: Visit one of the early vote sites listed on the Registrar of Voters’ website.

Polling places: Find your assigned polling place listed on the back cover of your County Voter Information Guide.

In the Tri-Community, there are two locations where mail-in ballots can be dropped off:

– Phelan Memorial Library, located at 9800 Clovis Road in Phelan

– Wrightwood Branch Library, located at 6011 Pine St. in Wrightwood

In addition to voting by mail or at a drop-off location, the Registrar of Voters office will open for early voting beginning on Monday, February 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday and Saturday, March 2. The Registrar of Voters office will be closed on Monday, February 19, in observance of President’s Day.

Four other early voting locations include the Town of Apple Valley Recreation Center, Joshua Tree Community Center, Ontario Conference Center, and Victorville City Hall. These locations will be open Tuesday, February 27, through Saturday, March 2, and Monday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. They will be closed on Sunday, March 3.

Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, the official Election Day. Voters are encouraged to take advantage of early voting options to minimize wait times. Within the Tri-Community, polling locations have been limited in the past few elections. However, voters can check the back page of their County Voter Information Guide for their polling location or go to elections.sbcounty.gov/Voting/PPL/ to access a polling location lookup tool.

No Party Preference voters who wish to request a crossover mail ballot can fill out the application on the Registrar of Voters’ website.

Voters can confirm their registration status by visiting Elections.SBCounty.gov and clicking the My Elections Gateway icon.

The Registrar of Voters wants all county residents to know that San Bernardino County is committed to making voting accessible, secure, and convenient for all registered voters.
