Free Community Tire Day Scheduled For July 17, 2021

Tires are often dumped in the desert rather than properly disposed of. Community Tire Days help provide a convenient way for residents to dispose of their old tires. And maybe pick up a few from the side of the road on you way to the event. High Desert Keepers is an organization that cleans up the desert and tires are one of their number one picked-up items.

EDITORS NOTE: NewsPlus erroneously published in the June issue that this event was taking place on June 12, 2021.  We apologize to those that showed up to a closed gate.

Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 8am-12noon Tri-Community residents can take advantage of a Free Tire Day.  Residents may drop off for free up to 9 tires (must be off rim).  NO commercial tires.  The Free Community Tire Day is for PPHCSD residents.  Must show proof of residency.  Drop-off is at the CR&R Service Yard located at 9828 Buckwheat Road in Phelan.  Sponsored by Phelan Pinon Hills CSD, CR&R and  CalRecycle.
