A celebration of life will be held for Augustin Limon on June 20th, at 3pm at 10120 Johnson Road in Phelan, Ca.
Augie was a longtime volunteer at Fountain of Living Water Church, who became known for his steady service, welcoming presence and compassion for people in need.
For many years, Augie lived on the church property in an arrangement that provided both a place to stay and an added sense of security for the building and grounds. During that time, he became a familiar and dependable part of the church’s outreach efforts. He regularly helped operate the food pantry by unloading donated goods with a forklift, sorting and distributing food, organizing parking, and praying with those who came for assistance.
In addition to his work with the food pantry, Augie greeted worshippers at the church’s front door on Sundays for many years, offering a warm welcome that made many feel at home.
A friend said, “Augie gave to others because he understood hardship firsthand. Through his service, he regained dignity while helping restore it in others”. He is remembered for his gratitude, generosity and the kindness he showed to everyone he met.
