The Community Arts Center & Gallery in Wrightwood is celebrating its one-year anniversary since it opened in September 2023. The community space is focused on providing quality art experiences while highlighting local artists and giving them a place for their works of art to be seen.
The artistic space is provided by the joint efforts of two local nonprofits, the Wrightwood Arts Center and Drawing Together, which have consistently offered both kids’ classes and adult art classes and creative workshops.
The community is invited to the arts center for a night of celebration filled with art, music, and sweet treats on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. The event is adults-only, and RSVP is required. Tickets are $20 online and and can be purchased through the Eventbrite website, or $25 at the door. This event is free to art center members and you can learn more about becoming a member on their website at wrightwoodarts.org/membership
The celebration will include live music performed by local band B.O.B., who played at the arts center’s open house in May. There will also be a silent art auction with wonderful works of art to bid on from talented local and regional artists. Tickets also include a dessert bar where you can indulge in a variety of sweet treats from local baker Rose Noir Chocolates while viewing the featured group art exhibit on display.
