Disney's Frozen is coming to Serrano Theater

Serrano High School will present Disney’s Frozen: The Musical this spring, bringing one of Disney’s most popular stage adaptations to the High Desert.

Performances are scheduled for April 24, 25, May 1, and May 2 at 7 p.m., with an additional 2 p.m. matinee on May 2 at the Serrano Performing Arts Center, 9292 Sheep Creek Road in Phelan.

Serrano is among the first high schools in the nation to stage the production following the release of high school performance rights in late 2025.

Based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, Frozen follows sisters Anna and Elsa as they navigate love, fear, and self-acceptance in the kingdom of Arendelle. The stage version features fan-favorite songs such as “Let It Go,” along with additional music written for the Broadway production.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be among the first high schools in the nation to stage this iconic production,” said Beverly Quinn, director of theatre at Serrano High School. “Our students have poured their hearts into every rehearsal, and I cannot wait to share this with our community!”

The production features a student cast and crew supported by Serrano’s theatre arts program, with Quinn directing. The creative team also includes Melissa Aguilar as vocal music director, Danny Minick conducting the student orchestra, Lexi Scanlan handling choreography, and Stephanie Robles serving as technical director.

This year’s production also marks Quinn’s final main-stage show after 26 years at the school.

Tickets are available online at GoFan or by calling 760-868-3222, ext. 6. Promotional materials list ticket prices as $12 for Adults and $10 Seniors & Students.

Additional Serrano Theatre Arts events include the Showcase of Scenes on May 11 and the Masterpiece Theatre and Awards on May 18, closing out the school year.
