Set your clocks for an early wake-up call on Saturday, August 3. Grab your coffee and head to the Wrightwood Community Center parking lot to cheer on the 275 runners starting this year’s AC100 point-to-point race. The Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run begins in Wrightwood at 5 a.m. at an elevation of 5,945 feet. Runners will traverse 100 miles of the San Gabriel Mountains, reaching elevations between 1,135 and 9,300 feet before finishing at Loma Alta Park in Altadena on Sunday. The 100-mile run will take about 33 hours. The race attracts participants from around the globe.
