The world’s top professional cowboys and cowgirls are set to showcase their skills in a wide range of rodeo events, including bareback and saddle bronc riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and team roping. A special highlight of the event is the presence of the Professional Rodeo Clown, JJ Harrison, who promises to bring laughter and excitement to the arena.
Friday night’s rodeo is dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence. The event will rally behind the “Man Up Crusade,” contributing to a local domestic violence shelter. Attendees are encouraged to wear purple to show solidarity in breaking the cycle of domestic violence. On Saturday, September 23rd, the rodeo takes on a pink hue, supporting breast cancer awareness. Proceeds from the event will be directed towards breast cancer awareness efforts at Loma Linda University Hospital.
Sunday’s rodeo performance will pay tribute to military personnel and public safety heroes. A joint honor guard team composed of San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department members and the Mounted Color Guard U.S. Marine Corps will present the colors. A poignant moment of silence will precede the event as a mark of respect. The Sheriff’s Rodeo will also make a significant contribution to The Cannonball Memorial Run, which aids the families of officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
The SEBA Stampede Kids’ Zone stands as another highlight, offering young attendees an array of delights, from petting zoos to bounce houses and engaging games. Sponsored by the Sheriff’s Employees’ Benefits Association (SEBA), the zone embodies the event’s family-friendly ethos, reflecting SEBA’s commitment to funding and volunteering.
