16th Annual Community Christmas Music Festival Will Celebrate The Holiday Season

Tri-Community NewsPlus

The spirit of Christmas is set to soar to new heights, with holiday music soon filling the air as the High Desert will again feature the 16th Annual Community Christmas Music Festival on Sunday, December 10, at 6:00 pm with pre-festival entertainment beginning at 5:30 pm. The event is hosted again this year by the Hesperia California Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 10862 Maple Ave. in Hesperia. Admission is free of charge, with no goodwill offering expected.

This festive musical extravaganza will bring together diverse communities from across the area to celebrate the joy and unity of the holiday season through the universal language of music. It features an impressive lineup of talented musicians, high school choirs, and faith community performers representing various denominations and musical styles. Currently scheduled to perform are the Vietnamese Voices of Holy Innocents Catholic Church, a Combined Bell Choir representing both St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church and the Oak Hills Ward congregation of the event host; High School Choirs from Granite Hills and Oak Hills; Saxophonists James Stokes and his talented young protégé Dylan Larsen; vocal headliners are led by local phenom Chantz Ward, acclaimed Soprano coloratura Hannah Kim, and multi-talented Tenor Shane Churchill just to name a few. The High-D Boys, led by Phil Clevinger, are also scheduled to raise the spirits of all in attendance. From traditional carols to contemporary interpretations, the audience will be treated to a captivating blend of melodies that will warm their hearts this holiday season. “We are thrilled to bring together our diverse community for this annual Community Music Festival,” said Karie LaFever, Communications Director for the event host. “This event is a testament to the power of music to bridge divides and foster understanding as we all join together to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is our hope that through this celebration, we can strengthen the bonds in our community and create lasting connections that extend beyond the holiday season.” The festival promises to be a memorable event that transcends cultural and religious boundaries and fosters a sense of togetherness among all attendees. This unique festival highlights the shared values and traditions of the community that make this time of year so special. It is made possible through the generous support of community partners who share the vision of promoting unity and harmony.

Join us as we come together in the spirit of Christmas, celebrating our shared values and embracing the diversity that makes our community so vibrant.

The festival promises to be an unforgettable experience that will leave a lasting impression on all who attend. For more information, contact Karie LaFever at karielafever@yahoo.com or 760-646-1473.
