How are your fishing skills? Enter March’s month-long Trout Derby offered by San Bernardino County Regional Parks at Mojave Narrows Regional Park and Glen Helen Regional Park. Beginning March 1st at 7:30 am and ending at 2:00 pm on March 31st.
This event is a skilled competition open to the general public and anglers of all ages. Enter daily for a chance to win cash prizes. A Vehicle Day Pass, Fishing License, Day Fishing Permit, and Derby Entry Permit are required.
The Grand Prize for the overall heaviest catch is $1000. The heaviest caught at the park is $500. 2nd heaviest caught at the park is $300. And 3rd Heaviest caught at the park is $100.
Derby Entry Permit must be purchased upon arrival and prior to the start of fishing. No exceptions. Park gates open at 7:30 am. Derby hours are 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. The Derby entry fee is $5 (plus the park fishing permit & park entrance fee, paid at the gate).
Park fishing permits are available at the park entrance gate. Monday-Wednesday Daily Fishing Permit: $10.00/person, all ages. Thursday – Sunday Daily Fishing Permit: $12.00/person, all ages. Park Entrance Fee (per vehicle) Monday-Friday: $8 Saturday & Sunday: $10.
