Wildfire & Disaster Awareness Day In Wrightwood

The Wrightwood Fire Safe Council will present Wildfire & Disaster Awareness Day on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 10am-3pm in the Mountain Hardware parking lot located at 1390 Hwy 2 in Wrightwood.

Representatives from Angeles and San Bernardino National Forest, CalFire, LA County Agricultural Commission, NWS San Diego, SBC Code Enforcement, SBC Fire Dept, SBC Fire Emergency Communications Service, Wrightwood CERT & Wrightwood Fire Safe Council will be on hand to answer questions and perform demonstrations. Bring the family for a day of fun and learn how these departments help our community. Activities will include CERT demos, check out emergency vehicles, fire-scaping plants, fire trucks, Seismic simulator. Meet Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog. Free popcorn. Mountain Hardware will offer a free kids’ Mother’s Day project.

Start planning for the Tri-Community Green Waste & Pine Needle Drop-off on June 2nd thru 4th in Wrightwood across from the Fire Station. Tree trimmings, grass, and pine cones will be accepted. Loads must be covered. NO rocks, dirt, cement, trash, Joshua or palm trees. Open from 9am-3pm each day.
