Homeowners in the Tri-Community have a great way to upgrade their lawn care gear while helping the environment. The 2024 Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District is, once again, offering its Electric Lawn and Garden Equipment Exchange program, and Mill’s Hardware in Phelan is the place to participate.
If you have old gasoline or diesel-powered equipment like chainsaws, lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, or hedge trimmers, you can trade them in at Mill’s Hardware. In return, you can purchase new Stihl electric equipment at substantial discounts. This offer is open to all residents within the MDAQMD jurisdiction.
This initiative aims to cut down on air pollution. The Environmental Protection Agency reports that gas-powered mowers are responsible for 5% of the air pollution in the United States. Additionally, an estimated 17 million gallons of fuel are spilled each year while refueling lawn equipment.
Mill’s Hardware is excited to be a part of this important program, making it easy for local residents to switch to cleaner, more efficient lawn care tools. Head over to Mill’s Hardware to take advantage of this exchange program and help improve our air quality.
