There is always lots to do in the Tri-Community in October. We’ve compiled a list of some fun activities for all ages from fall festivals, to a pumpkin patch and even some great trunk of treat events going on on Halloween. Make your plans now and make sure you attend as many of these fun events as you can and try not to get spooked!

FEAR FARM Fear Farm Phelan has been scaring up folks for over twenty years in the haunted high desert. With attractions like the blood-curdling Sundown Manor and Chamber of the Damned, make sure you are ready to be scared out of your wits! You can even sign up to become a monster! Are you ready to face the Fear Farm? The creatures come out every evening Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays of October 2022 at Fear Farm Phelan, 6275 Sundown Drive in Phelan.  General Admission is $15.  Visit WWW.FEARFARMHAUNT.COM

Wrightwood Camp Pumpkin Patch  Camp Wrightwood’s Annual Pumpkin Patch at 1401 Linnet Road in Wrightwood will be opening the gates to the biggest pumpkin patch around!  Starting Friday, October 7, 2022, Camp Wrightwood is hosting one of the best photo opp’s for holiday picture taking in Autumn!  One size fits all, they have pumpkins big and small at this pumpkin-fest! Once again, the “Old Apple Truck” will be back to pose with your group for that family Christmas card or framed gift.  “It is getting bigger every year!” said Casandra O’Reilly of the eighth annual Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival.  “We love holding this event for the community every year!” she added.  Go straight up Elm Street from Hwy 2 to 1401 Linnet Road.  Get your perfect carving pumpkin for a gruesome Halloween Jack-O-Lantern! Mountain High Octoberfest: Three Weekends   October 8-9th, 15-16th & 22-23rd, Saturdays & Sundays 10am-7pm.  Food, beer, entertainment, contests every hour, lots of raffles, games, pumpkin patch, bounce house & much, much more.  No admission.  Mountain High Resort, 24510 Hwy 2, Wrightwood.

Forever Wild Spooktacular Forever Wild Exotic Animal Sanctuary, presents a “Spooktacular Halloween Event” October 15 from 11am to 8pm, to educate the public and share the spectacular animals that reside at 8545 Buttemere Road, Phelan. Operating on donations, this facility provides health and nourishment for hundreds of exotic species and a viewing experience you really cannot get from a zoo.  With organizations welcome as well as the public, the animal feedings and personal guided tours are suggested. The knowledgeable and friendly volunteer staff will lead you through the grounds and love answering questions. Nothing scary here although feeding the Siberian/Bengal Tigers might make you a little nervous. $10.  Contribution for info call 760-868-2755 or visit foreverwildsanctuary.org

Pinon Hills Elementary Festival October 21st, Friday, 5-7pm.  Games, raffles, bounce house, food vendors & local business booths.  Wear your costumes.  Family fun. Open to the Community.  878 Mono Road, Pinon Hills.

12th Annual Frightwood 5k, Mini Monster Mile & Drac Dash  October 22nd, Saturday at 3pm.  All ages welcome.  Walk, run or ride your broomstick.  Wear your costumes and have fun!  Watch out for the ghouls.  Registration opens at 3pm at Wrightwood Elementary School.  For further info and entry fees: wrightwoodrunningclub.com

Pinon Hills Seniors Halloween Party & Potluck Pinon Hills Senior Center will be spooking up an afternoon Halloween Party and Potluck for members and guests on Thursday, October 27th from 11-3pm.  Scary attire and Halloween outfits are horribly welcome and will be rewarded with ghoulish prizes for the best costumes.  Located at 10433 Mountain Road, Pinon Hills, right next door to the old abandoned, haunted firehouse. Wrightwood Elementary Carnival October 29th, Saturday, 10am-4pm.  Variety of games, inflatable activities, cake walk, raffles and food.  Family fun. Don’t forget to wear your costumes.  1175 Hwy 2, Wrightwood.

Wrightwood Camp Fall Festival October 29th, Saturday, 2-6pm. Family fun for all ages. Hayrides, Pumpkin Patch, huge low-up obstacle course, vendors, food, candy & games.  Plenty of fun! 1401 Linnet, Wrightwood.

Calvary Chapel Harvest Party  October 29th, Saturday, 3-6pm. Various booths and games, bounce house, hayrides & candy. Free.  Costumes welcome.  4501 Nielson Road, Phelan.

High Desert Baptist Festival   October 29th, Saturday, 3-6pm. Everything is free. Games, snacks & prizes.  Lots of fun.  10484 Johnson Road, Phelan.

Pumpkin Bash  October 30th, Sunday, 2-5pm.  Free games, trunk or treat. Food available to purchase. Bring the family for a fun evening. Hillside Community Church, 3221 Hwy 2, Wrightwood.

Wrightwood Memorial Library  October 31st, Monday 4:30-5:30pm.  Kick off Safe Trick or Treat with Professor Rumbledor’s Fabulous Magic Show held in library parking lot.  6011 Pine Street, Wrightwood.

Phelan Library Safe Trick or Treat  October 31st, Monday 5-6:30pm.  Stop by the library  for a special grab bag.  9800 Clovis Road, Phelan.

Phelan Safe Trick or Treat Phelan Chamber of Commerce will once again host the Safe Trick or Treat “Trunk or Treat” event Monday, Halloween Night from 5-7pm throughout downtown Phelan!  Hundreds of Ghouls, Ghosts, and Goblins will be wandering downtown Phelan area with a devilish desire for treats!  Tri-Community beware, everyone is invited! Monday, October 31, 2022, 5-7pm – Downtown Phelan.
