The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s 26th annual Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Pro Rodeo will take place September 26-28 at the Sheriff’s Rodeo Grounds in Devore. It is one of the few community events that bring together residents, business owners, city and county officials, and law enforcement for one purpose: to strengthen community ties while creating good, clean fun!
This year’s event is expected to attract upwards of 20,000 people as it is one of the biggest PRCA-sanctioned rodeos in California, featuring top professional cowboys and cowgirls who are National Finals Rodeo qualifiers.
Each day of the rodeo has a special theme. Friday night will be dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence, and attendees are encouraged to wear purple in a show of support. On Saturday, a sea of pink is requested for attendees to wear the color in support of Cancer Awareness. The final night, Sunday, is dedicated to military and public safety personnel, and attendees are asked to wear red and blue to show their support.
Following the rodeo action on Friday and Saturday evenings, a free performance by Shotgun Jefferson will take place in the big tent. Throughout the weekend, attendees can also enjoy performances by Barrellman J.J. Harrison, bullfighters Lelo Garcia and Josh Daries, and the specialty act Charro on the Road. For the younger audience, a Kids Zone will offer fun-filled activities and a petting zoo.
Tickets are priced as follows: $34.20 for Friday, $39.90 for Saturday, and $22.80 for Sunday. To purchase tickets and check out the rodeo program, visit https://www.sheriffsrodeo.com/.
