On Saturday, June 10th the”Wrightwood Houz ah Blues Returns!” In one enchanted evening, the
Wrightwood Place Performance Center will be transformed into an extraordinary lineup of Blues
Artist Headlined by the “Riki Hendrix Experience”.
Riki continues the family legacy of his late cousin, Jimi Hendrix. Born and raised in San Bernardino, CA, Riki grew up in a home filled with classical and jazz musicians. Riki’s resume includes having joined forces with Buddy Miles and Billy Cox (two original Band of Gypsies members) touring the country in tribute to the late Jimi.
He has toured Asia, Europe and Canada and his powerful live performances have always received excellent reviews. The WBS Houz ah Blues audience will also be treated to the only Ray Charles Tribute in the region, performed by the Greg Jones Band. Jones, who is also the WBS president and responsible for producing this year’s concert, developed the “Tribute to Genius” Ray Charles show nearly two decades ago, performing many CA venues and festivals. The ‘Ray’ tribute includes a complete horn section and trio of stunning “Rayletts.” Before that, Toby (from Chicago) Williams will entertain a solo “History of Blues” performance.
Other performers include Bonnie Howard (opening act), Brittan E, John Burcher, Craig Kupka,
Bonnie Bishop and more! The doors open at 4:30 and the concert starts at 5PM. Tickets and
dinners are limited and should be purchased in advance at wrightwoodblues.org
