A Celebration of Life for Ed Thomas will be held on May 16, 2026 at 11:00am at the Wrightwood Country Club located at 1387 Oriole Road in Wrightwood.
Ed Thomas passed away on December 26, 2025 at the age of 98. He was born in Leimert Park, California. At age of 5, he began to play the trumpet. He enlisted in the Navy at age 17 (World War II). Ed’s first assignment was to Washington, DC, to play in the Glenn Miller Navy Band; his second assignment was the USS Hooper Island, a fighter ship heading for Japan. Music and family was a big part of his life.
