Phelan Phamily Phun Days presented by the Phelan Gas Company returns to Phelan Road on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 9am to 5pm. “We’re back! After a year of no in-person events, the Phelan Chamber is excited to bring back Phelan Phamily Phun Days,” said Phun Days Chairperson Jeanna Mills. This year’s event will be on Phelan Road between Sheep Creek Road and Malpaso Road. The Phun Days Parade, hosted by Snowline Schools, will take place between Johnson Road and Sheep Creek Road, beginning at about 9am. The best site for viewing is next to the Phelan Waterfall across from Phelan Elementary. This year’s theme is “Find Your Adventure.” Judged entries cost just $10. Register your entries now for the best spots in the parade lineup.
The Champaign Classic Car Show, hosted by the Phelan Pinon Hills Community Services District, also returns with the open header and burn-out contests, always a favorite. There will be many activities for the kids in the Phun Zone, hosted by McDonald’s of Phelan, with several rides and games. Meet local vendors and exhibitors, enjoy great food from the Mills Hardware Food Court, and some great beer in the Coldwell Banker/Wrightwood Brewery Beer Garden. Antique Tractors and Engines will also be on display. And for your entertainment, the Modd Rodds Band will be playing on the T-Mobile Stage between hometown contests, including pizza eating. Dorothy from Oz will also be on stage for an interactive tribute to the Wizard of Oz that shouldn’t be missed. You can find out more information at www.phundays.com.
