At approximately 8:00 pm New Year’s Day, an elderly driver lost control of his vehicle, smashing into the Rocket Market / 76 Station at 4125 Phelan Road, caving in the North showcase windows. The convenience store and gasoline pumps will be closed until repairs can be made. No other details were available at the time of this report. Store attendant Melissa was not there at the time of the incident, but had this to say, “I’ve worked at a few gas stations, but I’ve never seen anything like this before!”
