The Heritage Builders Club will be holding a car wash on Friday, September 23rd, between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm. The fundraiser will take place at the school’s campus on Wilson Ranch Rd in Phelan and is open to the community. Donations will be greatly appreciated and proceeds will be going to their Tunnel to Towers campaign.
The school has partnered with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to raise funds for American Heroes and has a goal of raising $5,000 for the families of two US Marines who were recently killed in an aircraft training mission near Palm Springs on June 8th, 2022. Capt. John J. Sax, 33, of Placer, California, and Cpl. Seth D. Rasmuson, 21, of Johnson, Wyoming, were 2 of the servicemen killed in the crash.
The Builders Club is only hundreds of dollars shy of their $5000 goal and is relying on the community for support. Their fundraising website states “We humbly ask you to donate anything you can to help us reach our goal. It is our hope to inspire other schools to join along with us with the result being that the service of others is honored by those of us who are protected.” If you are unable to attend the car wash, the club is still accepting donations online at https://dogood.t2t.org/campaign/heritage-school-remembers-9-11-and-honors-community/c426592
