Now that July is here, that means the 62nd Mountaineer Days is just around the corner. This year’s celebration is set for Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 10 a.m. -7 p.m. and will be a ONE-DAY Event presented by the Wrightwood Chamber of Commerce.
The old-fashioned family festivities will begin with the Opening Ceremony at 10:30am, followed by the announcement of the Wrightwood Honorary Mayor and the Wrightwoodian of the Year. The day will be filled with non-stop activities, including the popular Hometown Parade, “Wrightwood Strong,” which will begin at noon. The Pine Needles Quilt Guild Auction will start at 11am. This year, it will be held at Vivian Null Park, located in the Wrightwood Community Building area. Don’t miss live music from the Hwy 2 Band, which can be enjoyed from 11am-2pm.
Families can look forward to a day packed with hometown fun. Visit unique local shops and eateries, old-time games and contests, raffles, pony rides, a petting zoo, Western Gunfighters, and CanCan Girls. There’s fun and activities throughout the day for all ages, including a mechanical bull, gold panning, a dunk tank, photo booth, Slithers & Crawlers (exotics and reptiles), a beer garden & food vendors, axe throwing for kids, kids’ games, and more. There will also be family games and contests to entertain everyone. Wrightwood’s shops and restaurants, vendors and food trucks will be open throughout the village for browsing and dining.
The Hometown Parade is open to groups or individuals. Categories include floats, walking groups, vintage cars, equestrian entries, and children’s entries for ages 12 and under. There is no fee to participate, but all parade participants must submit an application online.
