Gold Spotted Oak Borer (GSOB) has been discovered in Wrightwood and has killed multiple Oak trees. These invasive woodboring beetles are known for destroying stands of oak trees. The Wrightwood Fire Safe Council is presenting a free GSOB Workshop on Saturday, June 17th, from 9 am-12:30 pm at the St. Edward Retreat Center located at 5701 Acorn Drive in Wrightwood. This workshop is free for property owners, tree contractors, gardeners, landscapers, and Arborists, designed to teach about the Gold Spotter Borer and how it’s affecting the oak trees.
