The Snowline Players presents the Wrightwood Senior Follies, which will be a fantastic evening of entertainment, showcasing 19 different performances from locals over 55 years of age. “Proof that good talent is still alive and well in Wrightwood,” explained Claudia Campbell, the Mistress of Ceremony for the Follies.
Performances for this variety type show will include a captivating pianist, singing duets, outstanding soloists, a great singing guitarist, a highly skilled dancing couple, fabulous Can Can Dancers in spectacular costumes, a talented trumpeter, funny songs written by the performer, a dazzling tap dance, and a clever comedy act.
During rehearsal, locals of Wrightwood managed this production. Lora Steinmann is the Cast Director, Michelle Schneider is the producer, Lou Antista-Suba is the Stage Manager, Mary Capps is the Costume Director, Davey Schneider is the Sound and Light Director, Michele Falb is the Prop Mistress, Claudia Campbell is the Communication Manager, Pam Wright is the House Manager, Vicky Rinek covered the publicity, Nancy Kupka is the Dance Director, and John Burcher is a Committee Member. Artist Ric Rice designed the stage backdrop for the set, and two artists Larry Wilson and Elisa Gurley did the artwork.
There are two shows: Saturday, August 26 and 27 at 7 pm at the Wrightwood Community Building at 1275 Highway 2 in Wrightwood. Tickets cost $25 and are available online at wrightwoodseniorfollies.ticketleap.com or at the door.
