Wrightwood Mountaineer Days will be held on Saturday and Sunday, July 8th and 9th, with plenty of fun activities for the family to enjoy; unique local shops & eateries, old-time games & contests, corn hole tournament, quilt auction, parade, petting zoo, raffles, live music, beer & food garden and much more.
This year will also feature an “AAU Feats of Strengths Competition” on Saturday, July 8th. Come see men and women from the US Amateur Athletic Union compete in weight lifting for the national championship. Metals will be awarded for first, second and third place in various divisions. Spectators are welcomed and the competition will be held from 9:00am-6:00pm in front of Alice’s Vintage Cottage at 1255 Apple Street in Wrightwood.
The Pine Needles Quilt Guild will also be hosting their annual quilt auction on Saturday, July 8th in the Veterans Memorial Park at 1 pm. There will be wonderful quilts to auction off and lots of prizes to win.
Wrightwood Chamber of Commerce seeks vendors, exhibitors, parade and bed race entries. The Hometown Parade is open to groups or individuals. Categories include; floats, walking groups, antique vehicles, equestrian, and child entry 12 & under. No entry fee for the parade.
