The San Bernardino County Library’s annual Summer Reading Program, themed “A Tale of Enchantment,” will continue through Aug. 3 at the Phelan and Wrightwood branches. The program offers free events and reading incentives for all ages.

Readers can begin by registering online through Beanstack and then picking up registration materials at their local branch. Based on their age group—Library Beginners (ages 0–5) through Adults (18 and older)—participants will choose a reading goal measured in books, pages or minutes. Once a tracking method is selected, it will remain consistent throughout the program.

Each branch will host a series of weekly events designed to entertain and educate. At Phelan Library, the lineup begins Tuesday, July 1, at 4 p.m. with Mark Griffiths’ Ventriloquist Show. Special crafts and stories for all ages are on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. Crafts only are on Thursdays at 4 p.m.
