The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Training Division’s Lady Be Aware program is an eight-hour course with classroom instruction designed for women who want to develop the attitude, skills and knowledge to avoid becoming victims. The course includes four hours of classroom work, two hours of weaponless defense and two hours of shooting and gun safety.
The course will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Department Training Center, 18901 Institution Road in Devore.
Participants must be 16 or older and accompanied by a guardian. The cost is $75 per person. To register, email [email protected]. Attendees must provide a valid California driver’s license to enroll. Payment is by credit card only, and the course must be paid for within 24 hours of registration. Registered participants will receive additional information by email. The cancellation policy allows a one-time date change or refund.
The next class will be held Nov. 15. No class is scheduled for December.
