The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s PRCA Rodeo was held in Devore, CA, from Friday, September 26, through Sunday, September 28. The Sheriff’s Rodeo raises funds through ticket purchases and the generous donations from their sponsors, which are all donated back to local charities within San Bernardino County. Each night of the Rodeo was dedicated to a different cause.
Friday night, which was dedicated to the Man Up Crusade, raised awareness about domestic violence. Across the nation, domestic violence affects about 10 million people every year. The Gift of Love program has been continuously committed to helping bring hope, love, and Christmas gifts to nine domestic violence shelters across the Inland Empire for over 25 years. The Sheriff’s Rodeo was proud to present a check for $10,000 to Gift of Love!

Saturday was Tough Enough to Wear Pink night, an event that raised awareness for breast cancer. In the United States, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. The Sheriff’s Rodeo was proud to present a check for $10,000 to Dr. Hamid Mirshahidi, a representative from the Breast Cancer Center at Loma Linda University Medical Center, to help further research for a cure.
Sunday’s closing event honored all the amazing volunteers who dedicate their time and energy, not just to this rodeo but to the entire community. From caring for children in need to supporting vulnerable families, it’s thanks to kind and loving volunteers that make a lasting difference. The Sheriff’s Rodeo was proud to present a check for $40,000 to the various charity groups that make this world a better place!
