On Monday evening, Jan. 20, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station arrested a Phelan man on multiple charges, including assault with a firearm and manufacturing an illegal weapon, after a confrontation on Paramount Road.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, deputies responded to a 911 call at about 6:35 p.m. on the 10400 block of Paramount Road. Upon arrival, they encountered Robert Losorelli, 38, who was armed with a loaded, sawed-off 20-gauge shotgun. Investigators determined Losorelli went to the victim’s residence looking for a stolen off-highway vehicle he believed was there. During the incident, he allegedly pointed the firearm at the victim. Deputies did not locate any stolen property at the scene.
Losorelli was arrested without incident and booked at the High Desert Detention Center on charges of assault with a firearm, manufacturing a short-barrel rifle, and making criminal threats. He is being held on $150,000 bail.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing. “Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy G. Tutor at the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station at 760-552-6800,” a department spokesperson said. Anonymous callers can contact We-Tip at 800-78CRIME or visit www.wetip.com.
