A convicted felon faces multiple charges after deputies discovered narcotics, firearms, ammunition and a stolen trailer during a search warrant execution in Phelan, California.
Russell Earl Jones, 57, was arrested Wednesday after authorities searched his residence in the 3300 block of Camellia Road. The Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Multi-Enforcement Team led the operation, which began at 7:10 a.m.
Deputies found methamphetamine, Xanax bars, U.S. currency, and narcotic packaging materials during the search. They also recovered two firearms and ammunition, items Jones is prohibited from possessing due to his status as a convicted felon. A stolen trailer was discovered on the property as well.
Jones was booked into the High Desert Detention Center on charges including possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of a controlled substance for sale, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, and possession of a stolen vehicle. He is currently being held on $290,000 bail.
