Pedestrian Struck And Killed On Wilson Ranch Road

Tragically a pedestrian was hit by a truck and killed on Wilson Ranch Road near Smoketree Road in Phelan.
At 5 am on Monday, August 1st, emergency personnel responded to an accident and located a person on the road at Wilson Ranch between Smoke Tree and Walnut Road. Despite life-saving measures, the person was pronounced deceased at the scene. The pedestrian’s family was already on the scene when CHP arrived, and the pedestrian likely lived near the location where he was struck.
The male driver of a small truck that collided with the person was not hurt; his vehicle sustained windshield and hood damage. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating this accident. The identity of the deceased pedestrian has not been officially released.
