From spooky slime to stein-holding contests, the Tri-Community is rolling out a full lineup of fall activities throughout October and into early November. Whether you’re looking to celebrate the Halloween season with crafts and costumes, or simply enjoy an autumn afternoon with food and music, there’s something for all ages happening in Wrightwood, Phelan, and Piñon Hills.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up this season:
WRIGHTWOOD LIBRARY – FAMILY SPOOKTACULAR PAINT NIGHT
Thursday, Oct. 2, 4 p.m.
Bring a silly Halloween monster to life on canvas. Your monster can be goofy, spooky or wacky. Family fun.

OUR LADY OF THE SNOWS – OCTOBERFEST
Saturday, Oct. 4, 4 p.m.
Mass at 4 p.m. followed by an Octoberfest dinner at 5 p.m. outdoors on the church grounds. First come, first served. $10 includes sausage entrée, side and dessert. Presented by Women of Light Ministry.

MOUNTAIN HIGH – OKTOBERFEST (Weekend 1)
Friday–Saturday, Oct. 4–5, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visit the animals at this exotic sanctuary while enjoying music, food vendors, pumpkin carving, slime stations and “extreme feeds.” Meet-and-greets with skunks, alligators and more. $8 per person; children under 3 free.
