Michael John Farrington, 70, of Oak Hills, California, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021, in Palm Springs, Ca.
He was born in Inglewood, Ca, to Herbert and Ida Farrington on December 19, 1950. He graduated from North High School in Torrance, 1969. Following high school, he moved to Conway Summit, where he worked as a short-order cook and gas station attendant for a year. After that, he moved back home to specialize in aviation mechanics designing the F-15 at Northrop Grumman until layoffs following the end of the Vietnam War. He eventually landed a job in auto body repair which he worked for several years before building Tri-Community Auto Body in Phelan, Ca, where he was the Owner/Operator for 25 years.
More than anything, he loved the desert and off-road racing. He was a club member with the Invaders M/C and competed in many motorcycle races ranging from AMA district 37, Barstow to Vegas, Check Chase, Hare and Hound, Mint 400, and many others.
Mike leaves behind his brother Herb, his three children, Heather, John, Brian, and five grandchildren.
