The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is offering Lady Be Aware training, a comprehensive course that equips women with the necessary attitude, skills, and knowledge to prevent them from becoming victims.
The Lady Be Aware course covers all aspects of safety, including cyber safety, home safety, situation awareness, and physical safety. The training is designed to help women understand the risks they may face in different situations and how to avoid them. Participants learn how to assess potentially dangerous situations and respond appropriately to stay safe.
The Lady Be Aware course also includes hands-on self-defense training. You will learn how to defend yourself effectively in case of an attack. You will also learn how to use three different types of firearms.
The Lady Be Aware training is a one-day course, and the next one is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The training will take place at the Sheriff’s Department Training Center located at 18901 Institution Road in Devore. The cost of the course is $75, and it is essential to wear comfortable clothing. Please note that flip-flops and shorts are not allowed.
