Hillside Church is a joyous and welcoming Christian ministry with a new Pastor sharing his dynamic delivery of scripture to the Tri-Community.
Highly recommended by his high desert colleagues at the Christian Mission Alliance, Lead Pastor Brian Haney will continue the good work of the beloved former Pastor “T,” Terry Morrow. At Pastor Terry’s crowded and teary-eyed retirement party, Hillside Church members said thank you to a Pastor, a Teacher, a Shepard, and a friend.” Youth Pastor Jim Wilson stays as a guiding light for the younger members.
The inviting entrance to the Hillside Church campus is a familiar site on Highway 2, driving into the majestic San Gabriel Mountains in Wrightwood. Entering the grounds, you will notice a grand breezeway and a well-groomed parking area that welcomes church members and visitors. A traditional ministry, Hillside Church can comfortably accommodate the largest Sunday services. The campus is nestled nicely in a box canyon, providing a perfect reflection and reverence location.
Pastor Brian Haney can draw listeners into his gospel message with his wisdom of the Bible and his modern interpretation. Casual and easy-going, the scripture finds a progressive form of comfortability in his sermons. Relating today’s circumstances with ancient text, Pastor Haney’s references to the Bible are captivating and imputable. Unassuming yet assertive, his confidence radiates guidance and kindness, knowing his word can help his audience choose Jesus.
Smooth and mellow voices with brilliant instrumental music resound from the rafters of the cavernous Hillside Church at Sunday services. As in most Christian ministries, music plays an essential role here at Hillside Church. Enriched by their talents and enlightened by their faith, Sunday churchgoers are treated to a beautiful melodic primer by Lead Pastor Brian and his approaching sermon.
