The Wrightwood Property Owner’s Association (WWPOA) is launching a letter-writing campaign to Supervisor Paul Cook regarding the problems confronting Wrightwood when inundated by snow players. The WWPOA is encouraging residents and property owners to participate. A template letter has been developed that residents and property owners can print out and sign; if preferred, the letter can be edited to reflect concerns that may not have been mentioned in the template letter. Rather than mailing the letters individually, the WWPOA would like to personally deliver the letters to Supervisor Cook, as they feel this will have a more significant impact. Those interested in helping with this effort can download a copy of the letter at the WWPOA website: www.wwpoa.org/advocacy/snowplayer-letter-campaign
Copies of the letter are also available at Mountain Hardware, The Village Grind, Hair Fitness, and the Wrightwood Market & Gas Station. Signed letters can be dropped off at any of the above locations or Wrightwood Realty, next to Bigfoot Bowls, and can be dropped in the mail slot if the realty office is closed. Couples are encouraged to submit two copies of the letter, one for each person, as the more letters the WWPOA can collect, the better. To allow plenty of time for letter submission, they will begin collecting the submitted letters on March 1 and deliver them to Supervisor Cook as soon as a meeting can be arranged.
If you prefer to email your letter to Supervisor Cook, you can do so at Supervisor.Cook@bos.sbcounty.gov
If you email your letter, please also ‘cc’ Rita Bemis at rbemis@verizon.net. Questions can also be directed to Rita at that email address.
