The newly formed Wrightwood Seniors Group served up love and companionship on Valentine’s Day. The group aims to provide a platform for seniors to come together and socialize, share their experiences, and enjoy each other’s company.
On Valentine’s Day, the group hosted a fabulous lunch that was attended by over 45 seniors from the community. The menu included mouth-watering dishes such as chicken parmesan, spaghetti with red sauce, a salad with garlic bread, and a delicious dessert. The lunch was a huge success, and everyone had a wonderful time.

In addition to the sumptuous lunch, the group also organized a fantastic raffle that included prizes such as Wrightwood license plate holders, a campfire pot, a potted plant, a woven basket, a Godiva Chocolate Collection, a surprise bag, candles, hydroponic tulips, and a bare root rose bush. All the money collected from the raffle goes toward organizing more senior events and activities.
The Valentine’s Day event was made even more special by the heartwarming gesture of the students at Wrightwood Elementary. They decorated Valentine’s cards and gave them to the attendees, spreading love and cheer among the seniors.
The Wrightwood Senior Citizen Group holds a monthly lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Community Building in Wrightwood. Each month, the lunch is themed differently, and the seniors get to enjoy new dishes and activities. The March lunch will be St. Patrick’s Day themed.
