The Wrightwood Community has launched Adopt-A-Highway program and is seeking volunteers. The program is one week a month Saturday thru Sunday during April through October. June’s dates are Saturday, June 14th through Sunday, June 22nd. Volunteers will take care of any trash left along sections of Highway 2.
The Caltrans designated area for picking up trash is within a two-mile stretch along Highway 2. Once volunteers have signed up, and assigned a section the trash in that section can be picked up at their convenience during that week.
Trash pickups are scheduled monthly during the spring and summer months. No pickups will occur from November 2025 through February 2026, with the program resuming in March 2026.
